The Faculty (1998)


To the students at Harrington High, the principal and her posse of teachers have always been a little odd, but lately they’ve been behaving positively alien. Controlled by otherworldly parasites, the faculty try to infect students one by one. Cheerleader Delilah, football player Stan, drug dealer Zeke and new girl Marybeth team up with some of their other classmates to fight back against the invaders.

Light It Up (1999)


The topical story of a group of high school students who form a protest when they become fed up with their school’s poor conditions. After a shot is accidentally fired and a police officer is wounded, the resulting stand-off results in a media frenzy that pits the dirt-digging media against the well-intentioned students.

Geppetto (2000)


Geppetto gets his wish for a puppet to come to life but finds parenthood much harder than he expected. Usher has a quick singing scene in this movie.

In The Mix (2005)


Mobster Frank hires hip DJ Darrell to man the turntables at a party for his gorgeous daughter, Dolly. At the event, some crooks pull guns on the gangster, and Darrell steps in to save his life. Frank then gives the DJ a job as his daughter’s bodyguard, but, to the mobster’s dismay, Dolly starts to fall for the smooth-talking Darrell. Their romance is interrupted when Frank gets involved in a mob war and drags Darrell along with him.

Killers (2010)


Three years after a fateful trip to the French Riviera, Jen enjoys the good life in suburbia with her handsome husband, Spencer. That comes crashing down, however, when gunfire rings out the morning after his 30th birthday. It turns out that Spencer has not been honest with Jen about his job; he’s a deadly spy. Now she must learn to dodge bullets while keeping up an appearance of normalcy.

Usher has a quick cameo as Kevin, manager at K-Mart.

When they realize that a demon is stalking their family, they consult paranormal specialists and install numerous cameras to drive out the pesky spirit. Movies that are spoofed in the familiar format include the “Paranormal Activity” franchise, “Mama,” “Sinister,” “Evil Dead,” “Inception,” “Black Swan” and “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.”

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016)


Childhood friends Conner, Owen and Lawrence found fame and fortune after forming the hip-hop group the Style Boyz. Owen and Lawrence faded into the background when frontman Conner left the band to launch a successful solo career. Now, the egotistical singer decides to film a documentary about his life while he’s still on top. When his second album flops, the camera is there to capture his world come crashing down.
